The mound lies east-southeast of Yozgat; 1.5 km southeast of Karaburun village; towards Çakirhaci village direction from Karaburun village that is 15 km southwest of Sorgun district. The 9 m high mound with a diameter of 90 m is surrounded by a swamp. It is discovered during the Central Anatolian Survey Project by the Japanese team conducted by S. Omura. The recovered Chalcolithic Age sherds resemble those from Alisar. EBA and IA sherds are the other finds. |
