The small; broad and shallow; 1.2 m high mound; measuring 65x80 m; lies east-southeast of Elazig; 500 m west of Alisam Village; on the east bank of Karasu Stream. The old Elazig-Bingöl Highway used to pass south of the mound. It was inundated by Keban Dam in 1974 and was discovered by R. Whallon and S. Kantman in 1967. The collected sherds from the surface date back to the Early Chalcolithic Age and Hittite Period. The location code of the site is O 54 / 22. |
