| It is located 400 m west of Yenisehir; east of Bursa Province. It measures 150x6 m. The tomb of Bostin Bos Baba (or Bostin Pos; Baba Sultan) is located on the top hill. It was discovered by K. Bittel and investigated by K. Kökten; J. Mellaart; J. Cullberg; D.H. French and M. Özdogan. Majority of the pottery collected is known as black burnished ware of Demirciköy; also called black or black rimmed Yenisehir ware by D.H. French. Also found are the red washed; burnished; thin washed ware as well as the gray washed ware. It takes place in the registered archaeological sites list prepared by Ministry of Culture and Tourism. |
