It lies west of the Kürtkulak-Ayas motorway; 3 km of Yeniköy Village; 29 km south of Ceyhan; southeast of Adana Province. Its west side is terraced. There are ruins of a small church in the lower terrace. During the Kilikia Survey conducted in 1951; sherds covering all settlements from the EBA to the Roman Period as well as figurines in obsidian and terra cotta were collected from the surface. M.V. Seton Williams proposes that the burnished red and black ware out of those finds can be dated to the EBA. |
