| It lies on the channel of a dried stream called Ömer; 2 km south of Ceritkale; 12 km southwest of Keskin District; south-southeast of Kirikkale Province. It is located on the road running from Ceritkale to Armutlu Village. It was discovered during a survey conducted under S. Omura. Probably it was named after the site it is located. The height of the mound decreased almost 6 m because of the erosion caused by continuous ploughing. Now; it is a flat mound; 170 m in diameter. A thick stone foundation; probably for fortification walls; was uncovered on the western slope in the north-south direction. The survey team collected plenty of EBA pottery from the surface. Among them are nail impressed sherds typical of EBA. |
