The mound lies south-southwest of Adiyaman; 8-8.5 km south of Akpinar; 1 km southwest of Kuyulu (Turus) Village. It is on the west side of the inundated village road from Turus to Akdere village. The site is discovered during the 1985-88 Adiyaman Regional Survey Project conducted by S.R. Blaylock; D.H. French; and G.D. Summers as the site no: 101. Halaf and Ubaid Period sherds are collected from the surface. The Halafian sherds are black; brown; orange; and red painted on buff surface and display high quality. No Halaf coarse ware sherds exist among the finds. It takes place in the registered archaeological sites list prepared by Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
