It is right across the cement factory located at the 9.5th km of the road running from Ankara and connecting the city center and Zir Sub-District on the west. It was discovered in 1942 during an environmental survey in the vicinity of Ankara by R. O. Arik. At present; it is left within the territory of the city and it has been surrounded by factories and houses. It measures 5 m in height and 100 m in diameter. It should have been named either as a mound or a settlement. Pottery resembling the EBA pottery of Etiyokusu and Ahlatlibel was collected from the surface. The samples evaluated as Copper Age can be dated to the EBA II. |
