| The mound; a small Chalcolithic Age settlement; was discovered by G. Algaze during the surveys around Botan-Su as a part of the Southeastern Anatolia Project. Sherds of chaff-faced ware and a very little amount of painted Halaf pottery were collected from the surface. |
