| It is close to Akarca Village located on the road connecting the province to Çivril; 18 km southeast of Usak Province. It was discovered 12 km far from Selçikler in 1969 during the regional survey conducted by N. Firatli and U. Esin while they were excavating Selçikler (ancient city of Sebeste). It is a disturbed cemetery where a violin shaped idol was claimed to be uncovered from. Another publication refers to the presence of a cemetery at Akarca. A survey is necessary to verify if it is the same place. Probably they are the same. A sign for mounds is illustrated some northwest of Akarca Village in the maps. The relation between this mound and the cemetery is still unknown. It is also known as Teryzek. |
