The mound lies northwest of Adiyaman; 2 km west-northwest of Keysun (Çakirhöyük) town of Besni district. The conic mound is 15 m high and measures 125x100 m. It is discovered in 1957 by C. Burney and published by Russell who reports finds from Chalcolithic Age; Iron Age and more recent periods [Russell 1980:138]. No detailed information about the finds is published. It takes place in the registered archaeological sites list prepared by Ministry of Culture and Tourism. |
