The mound lies at Serefönü Çesmesi Mevkii; 2.7 km east of Ürkütlü Village; 13 km west of Kizilkaya Town south-southeast of Burdur. It measures 200x150 m with a height of 5 m. The mound first discovered by A.M. Woodland and H.A. Ormerod in 1910; surveyed by J. Mellaart; and later on surveyed again by M. and N. Özsait during the 1993-94 regional survey. Presented as an EBA settlement by J. Mellaart; a Late Chalcolithic Age sherd resembling those from Beycesultan XXIII was recovered from the southeastern slope. It is yet impossible to consider the mound as a Chalcolithic Age settlement since only one sherd dating to this horizon is found. It takes place in the registered archaeological sites list prepared by Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
