It lies on the eastern bank of the Kocasuyu Stream; 4 km north of Söylemis Village; about 4 km south of Yenisehir District; Bursa Province. It is a wide and shallow mound in the middle of the plain and there is a survey point on top of it. Yenisehir-Inegöl motorway is 1 km southeast of it. This area is known as Mantarlik Mevkii and the mound is locally called Hamamtepe. It was discovered in 1961 by D.H. French. It measures 100x5 m. EBA II-III material was collected from the surface. It takes place in the registered archaeological sites list prepared by Ministry of Culture and Tourism. |
