It lies on the road running from Kürtkulak to Akdamiz; eastern part of the Kizil Su Valley; southeast of Adana Province. It is a conic mound. It is 30 m high. The northern and northwestern parts are very steep. The main settlement is suggested to be during the Hittite Period. It was discovered during the Cilicia Survey in 1951. It has been revealed that the site had been inhabited from the MBA to the Byzantine Period. However; J. Mellaart dated the mound to the third millennium BC and included it in his distribution map of the metallic ware. |
