The site; measuring 30 m in diameter; used to lie east of Adiyaman and of Kahta district; probably close to the ridges of Albag; 10 km north-northwest of Tille village before it was inundated by the Atatürk Dam. It was discovered during the Adiyaman Survey in 1990. The existence of bevelled rim bowls suggest a small Uruk Period village at the site. In addition; sherds dating to more recent periods were recovered from the surface. |
