It is located in Cendere Village; east of Ilgaz District. To the west runs the Kastamonu-Çankiri motorway. It was discovered by the Kastamonu Museum. It measures 30 m in height. Evaluation of pottery revealed as a result of continuous ploughing yielded sherds of the grit tempered; handmade; burnished ware with a red exterior and interior surface as well as sherds of the grit tempered; wheelmade; polished beige colored and dark-light brown painting decorated ware. They are included in the Copper Age (EBA); the Phrygian and Roman Periods by A. Gökoglu. Further investigation is necessary. It takes place in the registered archaeological sites list prepared by Ministry of Culture and Tourism. |
