The cave is located northwest of Gaziantep; northeast of Sakçagözü; on the rocks close to Emirler (Sakarat) village. It is discovered during the 1995 Sakçagözü Regional Survey conducted by A. Garrard. Finds from the cave date to Ubaid Period; Late Chalcolithic Age (?); LBA (?); IA (?); Roman-Byzantine and Ottoman periods. No detailed information about the cave or the finds exists in the preliminary report. |
