The site lies east of Adiyaman; east-southeast of Kahta. It is on the first terrace of the right bank of Kahta stream. The site was discovered in 1990 during the Adiyaman Survey. Due to the distribution of the surface finds; the settlement covers an area of 30 m in diameter. A wheelmark that was seen on the surface shows that the cultural deposit of the mound is not thick and the settlement probably consists of one layer. It is clear that the settlement dates to the Uruk Period depending on the finds such as bevelled rim bowls.
