Lower parts of the southern and southeastern slopes are obscured by the village houses. The hill measures 200x80 m. The inhabitants meet their water requirements from the Garzan Stream. The quarter of Ridvan is located 9 km southwest of the center of Ridvan Sub-District. The mound lies approximately between heights of 500 - 575 m; and this decreases to a height of 540 m in the western side. Sherds of EBA production were collected from the surface. It is coded under S 63 / 19. Numerous ceramic ware that suggest the Iron Age; as well as the Bronze Age were found in addition to the varnished and unvarnished ware from Medieval Age by G. Barin; E. Akin and F.S. Sahin during the surveys in 2002. A water canal supported by terra cotta tubes and lime mortar was found at the southwestern direction of the mound; similar to the postern system of Hittites. Additionally Medieval Age finds were revealed during surveys in the area. It takes place in the registered archaeological sites list prepared by Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
