The mound; measuring 5 m height and 99x100 m in size; used to lie east of Adiyaman; 2 km west of Karaçor village; on Kahta stream bank. It has been inundated by Atatürk Dam. The site was slightly damaged by the modern village. It was discovered during the Lower Euphrates Survey conducted by M. Özdogan in 1977. Potsherds of dark faced burnished ware; chaff-faced ware; coarse ware and Halaf ware were collected from the surface. The main settlement of the mound is dated back to the Late Chalcolithic Age; corresponding to the 7th phase of ASPRO. In addition; there are finds that belong to the EBA; IA; Classical; and Post-Classical Periods. The location code is T 51 / 5.
