It lies 500 m north of the Balikesir-Edremit highway; about 10 km west of Balikesir Province. To the east flows the Kekilli (Çengeloglu) stream. It measures 75x2 m. This area is locally known as Kum Mevkii or Kum Tarlasi. It was discovered by J. Stewart in 1938; and then investigated by D.H. French and M. Özdogan. EBA and Antique Age materials were collected from the surface. Gray; black; brown and reddish brown; burnished and sometimes washed EBA pottery was recovered. Forms of bowls with inrolled rims are common.
