The mound lies in Batman; east of Yenidogan village; and south of Malagir stream. It is discovered by G. Algaze during Batman-Su Survey as a part of Southeastern Anatolia Project. From the surface of the mound dated to Early Chalcolithic Age/Halaf Period; potsherds; flint tools and cores; and obsidian tools are collected. The two major wares found are the chaff-faced coarse ware with simple vessel forms and grit-tempered brown or red-painted ware. |
