The mound lies north of Kahramanmaras; north-northwest of Elbistan district; and 1 km south of Çatova (Maraba) Village. The name is seen as Maroba on some maps. The broad and very shallow mound has a diameter of 40x50 m and a height of 2 m. It is discovered in 1962 by G. Brown who; depending on the flint-scraped (brushed) decoration on the sherds collected from the surface; claims the existence of a Late Chalcolithic Age settlement on the mound. |
