The cave is located 17 km southeast of Kars; in Borluk valley where Magaracik village is located. In 1942; K. Kökten has discovered numerous caves and rock shelters in Borluk valley (for Borluk Deresi Investigations and Research and Palaeolithic Age finds see Harmankaya-Tanindi 1996:Borluk Deresi). On the front terrace and inner floor of the cave labeled E; Kökten has found Chalcolithic Age material among which the chipped stone tools are made out of obsidian. Kökten has not published the finds. |
