The mound lies northwest of Nevsehir; in Hacibektas district; 3 km east of Çayir village. It has a diameter of 100 m and a height of 6 m. The site is discovered during the 1990 Central Anatolia Survey conducted by S. Omura. The majority of the sherds collected from the surface are claimed to be of Chalcolithic Age pottery. Numerous EBA and little amount of IA sherds are also recovered. It was visited during the survey conducted by A. Türker in 2013. During the studies, no remains of occupation were encountered. A small number of Neolithic-Chalcolithic (?) and EBA potsherds were found [Türker 2015:236]. |
