The mound lies north-northeast of Kahramanmaras; east of Elbistan district; and 2 km northwest of Akbayir (Til) Village. The conic mound measuring 70x80 m with a height of 8 m; is discovered in 1962 by G.H. Brown. Late Chalcolithic Age sherds in ware incise-decorated ware and eastern type ware are collected from the surface. Other finds date to EBA; MBA-LBA; IA; and Late Roman Period. |
