| It lies on the western side of Aristil Village; north of Afsin; north of Kahramanmaras Province. It is a medium-sized mound measuring 8 m in height and 100-120 m in dimension. The top hill is flat. To the soutwest of the highway nearby; there is a big-sized tumulus called Aristil II. Among all the finds collected here; samples of the eastern ware; black rimmed ware; mottled ware and Cappadocian-like ware yielded the presence of an EBA settlement. It was introduced as Kizil Höyük by von der Osten who probably confused it with Merikil Höyük. |
