The mound lies north of Battalgazi District of Malatya and today it is flooded by Karakaya Dam reservoir. It was discovered by K. Kökten in 1945 and visited again during Lower Euphrates Basin 1977 Survey by M. Özdogan. The mound was signed between Dedekargin and Boran villages in Özdogan's map and dated to EBA according to the surface collection [Özdogan 1977:43]. |
