| It lies next to a dry channel known as the Kazan Stream; east-southeast of Altinova District of Balikesir Province. It was discovered by E. Beksaç; an art historian; in 1998. It has been damaged by an irrigation channel supplying to the Madra Dam. Pottery recovered can be dated to the EBA II. Also; Yortan style sherds were found as well as pottery dating from the LBA. A cemetery at Eski Kaynak Mevkii which maybe related to this settlement is reported. Further investigation is necessary. |
