It lies southwest of the Sitma Mountain; 13 km southeast of Suhut; south-southeast of Afyon Province. EBA sherds were collected from the surface [Lloyd-Mellaart 1962:197]. S. Alp reports that two marble idols were recovered from the foundation pit constructed for a school building [Alp 1965:6-8; pl.VI-VII]. They are slightly different than the local violin-shaped idols. Mutually positioned two idols were animated with two heads; one with hair and the other bold. The other two-headed idol bear same type of heads. According to J. Mellaart; it is an EBA II settlement. |
