It is situated in Cumhuriyet Quarter of Bor District (ancient city of Twana); southwest of Nigde Province. The first excavation at Ambartepe / Kemerhisar was launched by A. Çinaroglu in 1986. In 2002, R. Gosada started another systematic excavation project and conducted excavations until 2014. Since 2016, excavations have been carried out by the Directorate of Nigde Museum. No other finds dating from the EBA were mentioned except the samples of the painting decorated ware. They have lines crossing the claret red paint on a beige background [Çinaroglu 1988:353]. The site which is called Tyana in Roman Period is being excavated by G. Rosada since 2002. The recent excavations are focused on Roman Period. It takes place in the registered archaeological sites list prepared by Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
