The site; discovered by Erdogu in 1995; lies northeast of Edirne; south of Kavakli village; south of Yagcili village road; on the east bank of Ortakçi stream. An irrigation channel that joins this stream runs from the south. The settlement of Ortakçi/Kemer Köprü is immediately to the south-southwest of the mound. It was discovered in 1995 by B. Erdogu. The collected sherds can be dated to the Balkan Chalcolithic Age and to the Anatolian Late Chalcolithic Age. In addition; abundant Classical Period material was found.
