The site; discovered by M. Özsait in 1991; lies southwest of Ordu and of Mesudiye; 3 km west of Çardakli village; 200 m northeast of Karapinar Suyu. It is mostly damaged due to the hillside erosion. Abundant EBA sherds and a little amount of Chalcolithic Age sherds were found on the surface. Therefore; Karapinar I stays as a debatable site for the Chalcolithic Age. |
