It was discovered by M. Özdogan and his team in 1977. Due to the distribution of the pottery; the site covers an area of 130x180 m. It was thought as a flat settlement because erosion had caused the deposit of the mound vanish. Sherds of chaff-faced ware; light colored fine ware; red slipped ware; incised ware and debatable Uruk coarse ware; dating to the Late Chalcolithic Age; were found on the surface. The location code of the site is O 50 / 20.
