It is a flat mound lying on the eastern bank of the Çanta Stream on the exit to Edirne from the Istanbul-Tekirdag highway; about 12 km east of Silivri District; Istanbul Province. To the southeast flows the Kanalli Stream. The settlement surrounded by factories. It was discovered by D.H. French in 1961; and re-investigated by S.A. Kansu and M. Özdogan. Vast majority of the material collected can be dated to the EBA I of Northwestern Anatolia. New farmhouses and factories are built around the mound; therefore it is under serious threat. It takes place in the registered archaeological sites list prepared by Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
