It lies immediate west of Balibey; northwest of Elazig Province. It is far from the waters of the dam. It is a small; but high mound. The top hill is flat. It has steep flanks. It measures 120x100x7-8 m. It lies on the end of a stepped valley. The land in the surrounding territory is not fertile. It was discovered by Whallon. It is located on the alley in the north-south direction. Since vast majority of pottery dates from the EBA I-II; the main settlement is dated back to that age. Lesser amount of EBA III; second millenium BC and Middle Age materials was collected. The presence of EBA III settlement is based on the sherds of typical painting decorated ware in black. It is coded under N 52 / 11. It is somehow confused with Yeniköy in some of the publications.
