The 8 m high mound; measuring 75 m in diameter; lies north of Malatya; 5 km east-southeast of Arguvan; 2 km south-southeast of Isaköy. Malatya-Arguvan motorway is southwest of the mound. It was discovered during the Sivas-Van Survey conducted by C.A. Burney in in 1956. He claims that the Chalcolithic Age sherds were found on the surface. One sherd; paint decorated over plain gray-buff slipped sherd; varying from mottled red to gray in color on the exterior; of light red ware was found. According to Burney; this sherd resembles Hassuna types. Painted sherds; belonging to the Ubaid Period; were also found. The site dates to the 7th and 9th phases in ASPRO.
