It locates about 5 km southeast of the Siran-Alucra motorway, about 4 km northeast of Köklüce Village, in the east of Alucra District, in Giresun Province. It was discovered during the survey conducted by S. Kaymakçi and his team in 2015. The plateau of Köklüce Village is about 300 m northwest of the castle. The castle is surrounded by city walls. There are traces of structures in the interior section of the castle. The stones spread towards the skirts of the hill. It is assumed that the settlement continues towards these skirts. It is suggested that the stones used in the construction of the castle were taken out from the rocky area on the south slope and then dressed. There is a cistern on top of the castle. The potsherds found in the area dated to EBA and 2n millennium BC [Kaymakçi 2017:76-7].
