It locates at the elevation of 1859 m, 2 km east of Otlukbeli District in Erzincan Province. It was discovered during the survey conducted by A. Ceylan and his team in 2015. It overlooks the plain and ancient roads. The area is rich in water sources. It is surrounded with fertile fields. It is an oval planned castle extending in the north-south direction. It measures 55x35 m. It is encircled with city walls. It has been severely damaged due to illicit diggings and architectural remains revealed due to illicit digging pits. The potsherds collected from the surface dated to EBA, Early and Late IA, and Middle Ages [Ceylan et al. 2017:27]. |
