During the survey conducted by Kadriye Özçelik and her team in the fields in the south of the steep woodland, in Heybecik Mevkii, in Aydinlar Neighborhood, in Honaz District of Denizli Province in 2015, the finds dating to the Lower Palaeolithic were found. Among these, there are chopping tools, bifacial tools, cores and flakes produced from grey veined, dark yellow-brown colored local flints. A core dated to the late phase of the Lower Palaeolithic was found as well [Özçelik et al. 2017:508].
