During the survey conducted by Kadriye Özçelik and her team in the fields in the deforested area, in the steep woodland, in Heybecik Mevkii, in Aydinlar Neighborhood, in Honaz District of Denizli Province in 2015, a high density of chipped stone assemblage dating to the Lower Palaeolithic were determined. Among the assemblage, there are unworked raw materials in large quantity, chopping tools, 1 bifacial tool, cores, flakes, and denticulated tools. The vast majority of these finds were produced from grey veined, dark yellow-brown colored local flints. There are also cores and flakes produced from reddish-brown colored quality flints in small quantity. The researchers think that this area was a camp site [Özçelik et al. 2017:507-8].
