During the survey conducted by Ç. Çilingiroglu and her team, in the slope behind the Dalyan Cape, in the south of Mordogan Village in the Karaburun Peninsula of Izmir Province in 2015, some finds were determined. It is mentioned as "The Area 12" in the publication. Among the finds found in the area, there are green and yellow glazed potsherds, amphora handles, murexes, clamshells, 2 blades, 1 bronze dagger, and 1 iron nail. One of the blades is produced from brown flint, and the other one is from Melos obsidian. The dagger with a broken tip is 9.1 cm long. Similar daggers are seen from the Late Chalcolithic to the beginning of the 2nd millennium BC. However, the closest example in terms of form is seen in the EBA III settlements and graveyards. On the other hand, no potsherds belonging to this period were determined. Therefore, the date is not certain [Çilingiroglu et al. 2017:158-9].
