The settlement is located at a height of 1326 m, 1 km northeast of Ortatepe Village of Iliç District in Erzincan Province. Gümbürenin Fortress locates 500 m northwest of it. It was investigated during the survey conducted by Alpaslan Ceylan and his team in 2014. The architectural remains of the settlement covering a very large area are visible on the surface. The pottery sherds found in the area are dated to Iron Age and Middle Age [Ceylan et al. 2016:452]. |
