Geography and Environment: The estimated measurement of the mound is 170x130 m.
History:
Research and Excavation:
Stratigraphy: The mound measures 200 m in the north-south direction and 200 m in the east-west direction. During the survey, EBA II wares were collected from the summit while EBA II and Byzantine wares were found in the east and south sections. The majority of EBA levels in the west of the upper elevations were damaged by the Byzantine graves. There are Byzantine buildings on the south and southeast skirts of the mound [Türktüzün et al. 2016:469-71].
Small Finds: Architecture: A large number of oven and hearth were exposed in the upper sections of the mound and it is suggested that this area could be related to workshops. Some of the workshops were carved into the limestone bedrock. The other ones, on the other hand, were built with wooden beams and earth roofs. There are a lot of potsherds, figurines, spindle whorls, bone tools and metal finds, blades and axes among the finds [Türktüzün et al. 2016:469-71]. The spaces exposed in the west of the upper section of the mound are interpreted as workshops due to the high number of oven and hearth. Some of these spaces are carved into the limestone bedrock, and some of them are built with wooden beams on drystone wall and have earth roof. The workshops were disturbed due to Byzantine graves [Türktüzün- Ünan 2015:35-6].
