It is located about 300 m northwest of Karansilli Village in Merkez District of Tekirdag Province. It presents higher density of artifacts and unmodified cobbles than Yatak. The majority of the artifacts found in Kustepe are made on quartz. The chipped stone industry is represented by choppers on quartz and some discoid cores. The cores are similar to those found in Yatak. Their platforms are not prepared and flakes were struck directly from the cortical surface. Choppers on flint and quartzite are quite a few [Slimak-Dinçer 2007b]. |
