It is located within the borders of Uludag University campus, in the east of Görükle Village in Nilüfer District of Bursa Province. It was discovered during the survey conducted by Sahin and his team. Nilüfer Stream is located 5 km away to the north of the site. It probably lies on an old terrace of this stream. Palaeolithic finds were collected from four different areas (namely Deneme Tarlasġ, A1, A2, A3). All those areas represent a single entity regarding lithic technology, typology and raw materials. The site covers an area of about 1 km to 700 m. It is the largest Palaeolithic site in the region. Local flint and quartz (in small number) were used as raw material. %95 of these are made on local flints with neo-cortex. It is noteworthy that the number of the finds with primary cortex is a few. Flakes with cortex are common. There are also a great number of flake tools comprising of single and double scrapers. Globular cores exist. A small number of Levallois cores were found. ġn Görükle, mini choppers, which is an outstanding type of tool, were recovered. The assemblage consists of three choppers. They were made out of quite small pebbles (2-4 cm) retouched on one side [Dinçer 2014b].
