It is located 400 m north of the road heading to Balatdanisment Village, 950 m east of Karaca Village in Harmancik District of Bursa Province. Ayõ Creek flows from its west and south. A great number of flint nodules were found in this area. However, the finds, which could be dated to Palaeolithic, are quite a few. 3 of 10 finds are cortex-bearing flakes. There is one proto-levallois core. One single sided and one double-sided scrapers were found. One side of the natural flint was retouched and used as "mini-chopper". This kind of tools was seen in Görükle as well. The finds are generally dated to Middle Palaeolithic [Dinçer 2014a]. |
