It is located 1 km east of Serdarli Town in Tortum District of Erzurum Province. It was discovered during the survey conducted by N. Ceylan in 2013. The mound measures 18x12 m. Its northwest section faces to the valley. The south and west sections are flanked by the high mountain. Ödük Stream flows from its northwest. There is a second mound (Gugullar II) located 10 m north of Gugullar Höyük I. To the northwest, a third one (Gugullar II) locates. A few EBA potsherds were found in the mound [Ceylan et al. 2015:81]. |
