: It is located in Karayahsi Quarter in Salihli District of Manisa Province. It is situated a few km southeast of Marmara Lake, on the natural hill in the area containing Lydian tumuli. The hill, which is being used for agricultural activities, was discovered during the survey conducted by C. Roosevelt in 2005. During the 2005 studies, a great number of potsherds and some quartz and quartzite chipped stone tools dating to the Lower and Middle Palaeolithic were found. The systematic surface collection was conducted in 2008. Bozyer is the oldest findspot discovered in the vicinity of Gölmarmara. The hill is about 4 to 15 m high from the plain ground. The archaeological materials cover an area of 14 hectares. Since the area is being plowed, the material translocates. Among the potsherds found in this area, the earliest specimens are dated to the 5th millennium BC. The studies show that Bozyer could be dated to 5000-4500 BC. A great number of EBA wares were found as well. These wares consist of fluted handles, bowls with sharp profile and tripod vessels [Roosevelt 2007; Roosevelt-Luke 2010; Çilingiroglu Ünlüsoy 2015].
