It is located 700 m east of the old leather industry and weaving site, 2 km south of Kalfa Village in Merkez District of Usak Province. It was discovered during the survey conducted by H. Oy in 2013. The mound covers an area of 200 m in diameter. Its height is about 7 m. On the surface, a great number of handmade potsherds, footed vessels, lugs with relief and incised decoration, vessels with crescent shaped lugs (known from Beycelsultan EBA II), cups and vessels with knobs belonging to EBA were found. One sherd of spouted pitcher and one EBA II painted sherd were recovered as well [Oy 2015:219-220]. |
