It is located in the north of Battalhüyük Village in Merkez District of Adiyaman Province. It was discovered during the survey conducted by S. Ezer in 2013. The surface of the mound is covered with large pebbles and small stones. The mound sits on high bedrock. Its upper section has been flattened due to agricultural activities. A few potsherds were found in this section. In the southern slope, late period sherds are common but potsherds belonging to the 3rd and 2nd millennia BC were found as well [Ezer et al. 2015:180]. |
